My name is Connor Depies. I received my PhD in mathematics from Iowa State University in spring or 2024 under the supervision of Dr. Jonathan Smith. My thesis is titled "New approaches to the octonions and their maximal orders" and my main areas of research interest are in non-associative algebra, quasigroups, loops and cateogry theory. I am currently employed as an assistant professor of Mathematics at Bethel University in Mckenzie Tennessee.
